Lluís Saurí is Head of Unit at the Chief Economist Team of the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission. He is responsible for the economic analysis of the team in the fields of energy and environment. He has led the economic analysis for the Commission’s review of the State aid Guidelines on climate, environmental protection and energy. He has a PhD in economics (European University Institute, 2012) and over ten years of experience, both in the private and public sectors, in merger, antitrust and state aid control.
