Alumni meeting in London reunites 30 master program graduates
On December 11, the BSE organized the first alumni meeting in London. A group of 30 GSE master program graduates who are currently living and working in the London area met up for dinner at Grappolo Restaurant.
The objective of the meeting was to bring together as many alumni as possible and to provide a networking opportunity for those who are currently working or studying in London. Some of the London-based alumni are already in touch with each other, either because they studied together at the GSE during the master year or because they are working at the same company or studying in the same doctoral program. For many of them, it was a pleasant surprise to reconnect with former classmates or to meet other graduates living in London. There are currently more than 50 GSE graduates from the five master cohorts living in London.
What are so many GSE grads doing in London?
London-based alumni of the BSE are currently working as economic analysts in different industries such as economic or strategic consulting at firms such as Oxford Economics, Capital Economics, and KPMG; in public administration at UK agencies for trade, labor, and health economics; and in the financial sector at the Bank of England and other institutions. Graduates are also continuing study in doctoral programs at prestigious institutions such as the London School of Economics (LSE) and University College London (UCL).

The first of many alumni meetings
The GSE plans to hold alumni meeting in a few different European cities during the 2012-13 academic year to build a solid network of alumni and reinforce the GSE community beyond Barcelona.
