BSE experts to advise public financial institutions
Three BSE affiliated professors have been appointed to new advisory positions in the public sector since the beginning of the year.
Jordi Caballé and Teresa Garcia-Milà appointed to first AIReF Advisory Council
The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) oversees the sustainability of public finances as a means for ensuring economic growth and the wellbeing of Spanish society in the medium and long-term. The AIReF has established a new Advisory Council of nine experts to advise on economic and budgetary matters. Two of the inaugural members of this body are Professors Jordi Caballé (UAB and BSE) and Teresa Garcia-Milà (UPF and BSE).
Xavier Freixas named advisor to Catalan Finance Institute
The ICF is a financial institution that belongs to the Catalan government and works to promote economic growth and facilitate access to financing for businesses based in the region. Professor Xavier Freixas (UPF and BSE) has been appointed independent member of this public institution's governing board. In this capacity, he will advise on matters of risk assessment.
