Manuel García-Santana is Associate Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Research Associate of the Center for Research on International Economics (CREI), and Affiliated Professor of the Barcelona School of Economics. He is currently on leave from these positions at the World Bank Development Research Group, where he is a Senior Economist.
Professor García-Santana is a Research Affiliate of CEPR (Macroeconomics and Growth), Associate Editor of the Journal of International Economics, and Associate Editor of the Journal of the Spanish Economic Association (SERIEs).
Before coming to Barcelona, Professor García-Santana was a post-doc at Universite Libre de Bruxelles, ECARES, in Belgium. He has been visitor at the United States Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota on several occasions, and also at the School of Foreign Services in Qatar, Georgetown University.
