Ernesto Cárdenas '17 is Deputy Director of the Intelligence Unit in Mexico's Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE). He has an undergraduate degree in Law from ITAM.

"The BSE keeps working to stay in the standard of academic excellence. It is a privilege to study with top Economics students from all over the world and, especially, to take classes with leading decision makers and recognized professors of the field. The precise methodology used in the Competition Program gives you useful economic tools, even if you don’t have a strong economic background. The program rests on robust theoretical grounds, but it is also applied on specific fields and cases. In this sense, it’s good preparation for real world challenges. This program will help me assume positions where economic and legal insight give additional value to solve problems, from the perspective of competition policy or regulation in general."
