The goal of this workshop is to discuss recent theoretical and empirical studies on the spatial dimension of economic policy and political economy. We encourage submissions of theoretical and empirical papers addressing issues including (but not limited to):
- International trade policy, including goods and asset trade
- Migration and its economic and political effects
- The economics and politics of borders
- Fiscal federalism and political decentralization
- Terms-of-trade and enforcement externalities
- The design of international institutions
Participants are welcome to stay for other workshops that will take place during the week, particularly the workshops on the Economic Analysis of Electoral Politics and on Political Institutions.
