The 2018-19 edition of Master's programs at the Barcelona School of Economics is now underway. The 12th cohort of Master's students includes 225 women and men from 54 countries, with 85% of students coming from outside Spain.

Here is a brief profile of the classmates a student in the BSE Class of 2018 will meet this year:

Academic backgrounds

While Economics and Finance are the most common undergraduate backgrounds for this year's class (76% have degrees in these subjects), around 24% of the class have studied Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Political Science, or other subjects. Institutions where the Class of 2019 obtained their previous degrees include many of those at the top of the international university rankings for Economics and Econometrics (QS Rankings 2018).

As in years past, a significant number of students entered the Master's directly after completing undergraduate studies, while others had some work experience between university and the Master's program.
